This is a group for women in the greater Washington, DC area who are interested in freemasonry.  It will be of interest to those who seek personal development, have interests in spirituality and esotericism, or those who have family members who are or were freemasons.  This group seeks to provide information on the historic and current role of women in freemasonry writ large.

The Maryland Masonic Research Society (MMRS) was founded in 1979 by Elwood E.Cook and others, with the mission and motto of “Masonic Enlightenment through Research”. The Maryland Masonic Research Society is not a Lodge, and while it is hoped that all members will pursue the Craft, membership and officership are open to all who have an interest in Freemasonry.
